Terms of Service

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Zolaal (or such higher age as required by applicable law in your country of residence, 16 in certain jurisdictions). By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

If you are under the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

Description of service

Zolaal is a mobile and web application that delivers one verse from the Holy Quran to subscribers each day, in the original Arabic and in the user's chosen translation language. The Service also includes:

• Daily push-notification reminders of the day's verse.
• Phonetic transliteration to support recitation and learning.
• The ability to generate and share verse cards for personal and Dawah purposes.
• Curated verse selections on significant Islamic occasions (Ramadan, Eid, Jumu'ah).

We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice. We will endeavour to notify users of material changes to core functionality.

Account and access

You can use Zolaal without an account. To sync your preferences across devices and to manage a subscription, you may create an account using just your email address. There is no password: each time you sign in, we email you a one-time six-digit code.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping access to the email address you sign in with.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us promptly of any unauthorised use, at Contact@Zolaal.com.

You may not create accounts by automated means or create multiple accounts for abusive purposes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Subscription, free trial & billing

4.1 Free trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial upon registration. No payment is required to begin. If you do not subscribe or cancel before the trial ends, your account will be transitioned to a limited state and verse delivery will pause until you subscribe.

4.2 Subscription

After the free trial, continued access requires a paid subscription, charged in your local currency at the price shown at checkout. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

4.3 Billing & payment

Subscriptions are sold and charged through your device's app store, not by us directly:

• Google Play Billing (Android): billing is managed by Google under your Google account and Google Play's payment terms.
• Apple App Store (iOS, where available): billing is managed by Apple under your Apple ID and Apple's payment terms.

Purchases are validated and your entitlement is tracked by our provider RevenueCat. We never receive or store your card details; the app store tells us only whether your subscription is active. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law. We are not responsible for foreign transaction fees charged by your bank or card issuer.

4.4 Price changes

We reserve the right to change our subscription price. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it takes effect on your account. If you do not cancel before the new price applies, you will be deemed to have accepted the change.

4.5 Referral programme

If you refer 7 friends who each complete a paid subscription, you will receive one year of Zolaal at no cost. This offer is subject to change and cannot be combined with other promotions. Referrals must be verified by our system to qualify.

Cancellation & refunds

5.1 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time in your app store, under subscriptions (Google Play on Android, or the App Store on iOS). You keep access until the end of your current paid period. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time.

Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. You must cancel it separately in the app store, otherwise it will keep renewing.

5.2 Refunds

Because payment is taken by the app store, refunds are handled by that store under its own refund policy: Google Play for Android purchases, and Apple for iOS purchases. If you have any difficulty, contact us at Contact@Zolaal.com and we will help where we can, though the final decision rests with the store.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Zolaal only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or systems connected to it.
• Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other tools to access or extract data from the Service without our express written consent.
• Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from the Service beyond personal, non-commercial use and Dawah sharing as intended by the Service.
• Impersonate Zolaal, its team, or any other person or entity.
• Transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

Intellectual property

The Zolaal application, its design, code, branding, logo, and all original content created by us (excluding Quranic text, see Section 8) are the exclusive property of بوصلة الحلول الذكية ذ.م.م and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. This licence does not include:

• Any resale or commercial use of the Service or its content.
• Any collection, copying, or duplication of content for distribution.
• Any use of data mining, scraping, or similar data gathering tools.
• Any derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

Verse card images generated within the app may be shared freely for personal use and Dawah purposes. Commercial use of any Zolaal-branded assets requires our prior written consent.

Quranic content

The text of the Holy Quran is the word of Allah and belongs to no individual or company. The Arabic text presented in Zolaal is sourced from standard, accepted Quranic manuscripts in the public domain.

Translations of the Quran are the work of their respective scholars. We use translations under licence or with attribution where required. Zolaal makes no claim of copyright over the original Arabic text or over any publicly available scholarly translation.

We take the accuracy and dignity of the Quranic text with the utmost seriousness. If you believe any verse has been presented inaccurately or inappropriately, please contact us immediately at Contact@Zolaal.com.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected.
• The Service will be available in all geographic locations.
• The results obtained from use of the Service will meet your expectations.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In such cases, the above exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, بوصلة الحلول الذكية ذ.م.م, its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Any unauthorised access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein.
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service.
• Any bugs, viruses, or similar harmful code transmitted through the Service by any third party.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $10.00 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless بوصلة الحلول الذكية ذ.م.م and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your access to or use of the Service.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.
• Any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Service.

App store terms

12.1 Apple App Store

If you download Zolaal from the Apple App Store, the following applies in addition to these Terms:

• These Terms are between you and بوصلة الحلول الذكية ذ.م.م only, not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for Zolaal.
• In the event of any failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Service, including product liability, failure to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, or claims under consumer protection laws.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the Service (e.g. your mobile data agreement).

12.2 Google Play Store

If you download Zolaal from the Google Play Store, the following applies in addition to these Terms:

• These Terms are between you and بوصلة الحلول الذكية ذ.م.م only, not with Google LLC.
• Google is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• Google has no obligation to provide support or warranty services for Zolaal.
• You acknowledge that Google is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws of the Emirate of Sharjah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If it is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.

Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through an in-app notice at least 14 days before the updated Terms take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were most recently revised.
